Responsibilities
Monitor live trials, identify key moments, cut, edit newsworthy clips for social platforms, and write compelling copy tailored for each platform.
Edit basic video content, such as text-to-video play-by-plays, censoring, transitions, etc.
Create engaging and compelling thumbnails for all YouTube uploads, across all channels, using Adobe Photoshop.
Identify high-performing, viral videos that will perform well on the L&C social platforms.
Manage daily content uploading/publishing/scheduling across all social media platforms.
Initiate authentic community engagement with our audience across all social platforms specifically during live streams.
Ability to run live streams across social media platforms.
Create social graphics to promote live trials and web stories.
Help develop and create growth strategies among each platform.
Build follower and subscriber count on YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok & Instagram.
Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips for TikTok & Instagram Reels.
Pitch story ideas and work alongside social reporters to gather strong assets and deliver robust social packaging.
Collaborate with the entire social team to ensure key content is used across all platforms.

Required
General experience producing video content for Social Media.
2+ years of professional work experience in Social Media.
Strong ability to take direction and adapt to new practices.
Simple knowledge of YouTube monetization guidelines, uploading processes and advertisement policies.
Strong familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.
Experience with trials, true crime and simple legal procedures.
Experience and an ability to communicate and work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to take initiative and act independently and proactively.
Ability to edit remotely with a solid internet connection.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred in area of study: Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Production, or related field.
Experience in news or journalism is preferred but not required.
Strategic knowledge of digital platforms and content production.
