Responsibilities

Supporting the development of guidelines and toolkits for implementing consistent systems, processes, and practices for programmatic goal setting, impact tracking and review
Conducting and synthesizing research on best practices in program performance management and impact measurement across global health, international development, and private sector organizations
Collaborating with CHAI program and country teams to develop 5-year goals, draft compelling impact cases and theories of change which clearly articulate CHAI’s contribution to ambitious global health goals (e.g., eliminating malaria, increasing access to primary health care, decreasing the number of zero-dose children)
Modelling the impact of various CHAI-led programs using quantitative and qualitative frameworks. Contributing to the development and refinement of impact frameworks overtime
Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to assess the impact of projects.
Leading pilots of PPM-related systems and processes involving 4-6 CHAI program areas and countries, including developing clear scopes of work, implementing pilot projects and synthesizing and disseminating key learnings to generate buy-in from various internal stakeholders
Supporting the development of communication materials, including presentations, briefing notes and updates to internal and external stakeholders
Supporting the development of knowledge management platforms and dashboards to host PPM-related tools, guidance, and data

Required

3-5 years of work experience implementing or evaluating programs.
Experience designing program strategies and targets, theories of change, and/or conducting program monitoring through identification and assessment of appropriate indicators.
Comfortable working with limited or imperfect information to qualitatively or quantitatively assess program impact.
Basic understanding of quantitative impact modelling and assessment methods, including the ability to consume and utilize evidence from rigorous impact evaluations (e.g., RCTs).
Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research with the ability to present and communicate findings to a variety of audiences and senior stakeholders.
Experience successfully navigating a matrixed organizational structure, including respectfully collaborating with leaders and peers with a diverse range of backgrounds and experience, supporting up-take of new processes and tools.
Experience managing workstreams or projects independently, while collaborating with stakeholders to iterate and refine materials.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Superb communications skills in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred

Experience working in low- and middle-income countries, especially in partnership with governments.
Experience in developing or executing impact modelling and assessment approaches (e.g., Logical Frameworks, RCTs, Quasi-experimental Studies, Cost Benefit Analysis).
Experience developing and/or maintaining data dashboards and visualizations to communicate program data and insights effectively to stakeholders.
Experience working remotely with a high degree of autonomy in a decentralized team.
Prior experience in global health.
Professional fluency in other languages, such as French, Swahili, Hindi, and Spanish.
