Responsibilities

Meet territory sales goals; Responsible for achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Meet/contact our clients to close all possible business with focus on key accounts
Meet/contact and generate new clients, uncover, and understand their needs and close the sales
Contact lost and inactive customers to regain business.
Give tailored technical seminars and focus on all the advantages of the SiliCycle solutions
Maintain and update all required data and activity information into Company CRM (lead qualification, opportunity management, documentation of activity)
Collaborate with immediate supervisor as required
Attend conventions and trade shows as selected by the Company
Manage and ensure all activities and follow-ups on quotes, customer’s requests including mailings and shipments (catalogs, samples, etc.)
Manage and ensure all follow-ups with new contacts from trade shows and marketing activities
Must allocate 60% or more of his/her time in customer visits when condition permits
Responsible for providing accurate sales forecasts, weekly/monthly reports, marketing intelligence, and any other required reports for the defined territory to supervisor.

Required

BS or BA degree in a Natural Science or relevant field is strongly preferred
Must have current relevant knowledge of liquid chromatography products and techniques (HPLC, Flash, TLC)
A comprehensive familiarity with the following industries: pharmaceutical, biotech, academic research and environmental, food, and industrial chemicals is desired
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical R&D and CMO process development and manufacturing is desired
A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in a relevant sales position is strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written skills
Excellent active listening, negotiation and persuasion skills
Proven ability to work within a team
Must be based in assigned geographical sales territory (preferably in the Chicagoland area)
Must live near an international airport
Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
Must own or have unrestricted full-time access to a suitable and reliable automobile to be used for required company travel
Possess excellent skills with the following software: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or a general knowledge of CRM’s)
