Responsibilities

Acts as a special advisor to the Chief of Engineering.
Serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert relating to activities utilizing the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) tool for monitoring and tracking fund control records for Engineering Division.
Monitors Engineering Division budget execution.
Maintains liaison with key personnel in the Engineering Division and other applicable elements of the District to give or receive information on the activities.

Required

Financial Management Level 2 Certification required within 2 years of appointment.
One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring budget accounts using an automated financial management database system; researching and referencing appropriate financial regulations and policies applicable to budget management/execution; compiling and summarizing information and data to complete assigned portions of budgetary reports concerning milestones, expenditures, costs, and obligation of funds related to Civil Works and/or Military construction projects.
You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct deposit of pay is required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
