Responsibilities

Monitor and help maintain the Manual Reweigh Audit queues and the 'Scale NOT Working' incidents on a daily basis and identify suspect Freight Handlers and or Scales that need follow up training and or servicing.

Provide awareness, coaching and training to Freight Handlers, Supervisors, Coordinators and Shop personnel involving the Reweigh Program and our Forklift Scale equipment.

Review reweighs performed on forklift scale equipment to ensure they are performed accurately and correct invoices when needed.

Help oversee the Reweigh Program process and alert Department Management and the Operation to any potential issues that may arise, effectively and efficiently.

Assist W&R Department management with future expansion plans which includes (but are not limited to) forklift scale rollouts, dimensioning machine rollouts or overall terminal assessments.

Travel to Forklift Scale terminals to inspect, check tolerances, repair and document all aspects relating to our Forklift Scale and Floor Scale equipment.

Manage disputes from customers (internal or external) on reweigh corrections that have been applied.

Required

Effective & professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.

Strong typing skills and effectively utilize different windows based applications.

Strong attention to detail and high standards of quality.

Travel as required by W&R Department needs.

Preferred

Supervisory experience in the LTL, Transportation, Warehousing or Logistics industry.

Previous Weights and Research, Operations Management or Transportation Sales experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and On-Base.

Working knowledge of industry terms, experience working with Carrier and Pricing Tariffs.

Bachelor's degree in Transportation or related area.
