Responsibilities

Develops and leads implementation of the organization Community Impact strategy including state partnerships, cancer center partnerships and community partnerships.
Manages, coaches and develops the leadership staff for the Community Impact constituency.
Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct reports are well-defined.
Accountable for achievement of Community Impact KPI’s and Pillar Metrics through health systems and partnerships engagement and collaboration.
Collaborates with the other Patient Support Pillar Leadership and other pillars.
Develops area strategy, based on enterprise vision, for Community Impact, including coordination of account prioritization and ownership.
Manages a team of leaders.
Tailors cross cancer continuum strategies and execution to match needs of health care systems and community partners.
Accountable for effective collaboration and integration with Patient and Caregiver Services and the Community Implementation team for quality delivery of patient services and mission programs.
Identifies and develops the strategy for serving disparate populations through local collaborations.
Accountable for horizontal integration across all Community Impact Teams and Patient Support Pillar departments.
Partners with ACS CAN, Discovery and Development on strategies through leveraging health systems relationship and community partnerships.
Interfaces with centrally led, enterprise support functions and ensures appropriate programs and offerings are delivered in support of health systems activities.
Responsible for annual forecasting, administration of department budget, and ensuring departmental financial control and policy compliance.
Actively demonstrates and cascades the enterprise-wide mindsets: integrity, collaboration and stewardship.
Recruit, mobilize, retain and recognize volunteers to deliver on mission priorities.
Leverage volunteers as door openers and champions.

Required

Master’s degree in public health, health care administration, nonprofit administration or related field or comparable degree or equivalent experience, plus experience in account management, program delivery and execution against fundraising principles.
Minimum of 7 years in a leadership level management/supervisory capacity.
Able to cultivate relationships with targeted systems/organizations and diverse populations to create sense of urgency related to awareness of cancer as a major health problem and motivate to action in prevention and early detection.
Ability to represent the Society effectively to hospitals and other health systems, community leaders, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated success managing a team of relationship/account managers with health industry experience.
Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.
Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
Strong strategic planning skills.
Outcome driven; strong project management ability.
Collaborative leadership, management, coaching and development of diverse staff.
Able to work through others to accomplish goals.
Ability to create consensus among cross-functional staff and bring closure to projects/initiatives.
Proficient in computer-based information systems.
Ability to understand and work within a complex organizational structure.
Strong experience with community-based program planning and implementation.
Knowledge of health insurance and coverage issues, advocacy, and government policy.
Knowledge of product marketing/sales concepts.
Travel, including evening and weekend work required.
