Responsibilities

Match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions and create compelling presentations.
Proficient in reading and comprehending mechanical drawings and technical documents.
Manage technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and effectively communicate client needs to CCL engineering.
Implementation of motor to customer’s applications and discussion of interfaces (mechanical, electrical) with E-drum, EPB, ITMA coolant valve, Seat folding, PLG, PEG, Air suspension, Monitor adjuster, 4Way valve, SBW, Lidar and eActuator for tubo charger as examples.
Responsible to lead and drive CCL engineering towards required action to be done, and integrate CCL engineering team to ensure defined targets are achieved.
Perform efficient engineering communication with internal and external customers.
Present plant analysis report/8D report to customers. Regular follow up with both customers and plant quality until closure.
Train others in all aspects of the customers quality system and application.
Provide weekly huddle notes and monthly reporting per agreed KPIs.
Long term planning and forecasting to help CCL customer service and sourcing to meet customer requirements.
Collect and document competitive intelligence.

Required

BS degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Position Location: must live within the greater Detroit area.
Language: English, Chinese is a plus.
Proven experience as a Sales Engineer with a track record selling engineered solutions to Tier 1 & Tier 2 automotive suppliers for at least 3 years.
Direct experience with APQP. Six Sigma & DFSS are a plus.
Expectation is that you have direct experience with the IATF 16949.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to explain complex concepts.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and creativity skills.
Willingness to travel, domestically and internationally.
Out of geography travel is 30%.

Preferred

Preferred direct experience with Automotive applications containing electric motors for actuators and pumps.
Indirect experience with motor through direct experience with actuators and pumps.
Existing automotive contacts and relationships is a plus.
Comfortable and experience working remotely.
