Responsibilities

Assess development needs and identify the appropriate vendor partner(s) for the effort.
Gather market intelligence and solicit internal feedback regarding vendor performance.
Lead capability calls with suppliers and participate in the Annual Sourcing Roadmap meetings.
Understand the requirements of each development assignment to lead RFP and DoS Creation that aligns with established Workflow(s) and Schedule.
Play a consulting role in Project Costing and lead Bidding and Negotiation activities.
Support Project Launch for all major program components.
Provide support to the Suppliers in project start up to ensure all needed support is provided to the supplier to achieve mutual success.
Support performance challenges by providing mediation, root cause analysis, and mitigation support.

Required

5+ years of experience in K-12 educational publishing with a focus on STEM content areas.
Direct experience working with development and creative professionals in an outsourced model.
Demonstration of best practices in communication, relationship management, and bid development is required.
Experience working with vendors, including monitoring performance, is required.
BA or BS, preferably in Business, Communication Arts, or other technical functional areas.
Able to manage multiple projects at once, keep track of workflow issues related to each project, and develop proactive methods to keep projects on track.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Excellent working knowledge of collaborative software and databases and how to use them to most effectively to achieve goals.
Able to work well with people at all levels of an organization and to establish productive work relationships.
Able to establish and negotiate rates for creative work and monitor costs.
Aptitude for recognizing problems and identifying creative solutions; make and defend decisions, evaluate options and provide support for decisions.
Skill in working in a team environment, communicating effectively with managers and team members, and anticipating team and project workflow issues.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, demonstrate a high degree of multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

Preferred

Knowledge of K-12 basic concepts and curricula is preferred.
Knowledge of instructional design and digital development processes is preferred.
Experience sourcing or working with digital platforms, tools and content, including videos, animation, games, assessment, audio, VR/AR and GenAI is preferred.
