Responsibilities
Responsible for entering appointments, patient demographics, insurance details, checkout patients in the EPM, and scanning of the charts to the EHR system.
Accountable for reviewing the paper charts and obtain all information required for bill the claim to the insurance company.
Sort charts that are to be reviewed for coding accuracy and then after review bill accordingly.
Perform daily charge posting and posting of copays in the system while meeting all insurance and system requirements.
Act as a liaison between the billing office and the clinics communicating claims issues generated either in the front office or regarding physician documentation for charts during ACQ billing.
Assist with payment postings from the insurance companies for ACQ billing.
Post to the claims the EOB contractual adjustments, payments, and deductibles.
Assist with the collection of EOBs; follow up on claims billed, and A/R projects as time permits.
Responsible for ensuring that the charges are billed in a timely fashion.
Handle correspondence from insurance companies including denials, information requests or refund requests.
Assist with claim resubmission projects during downtime or when deemed necessary.
Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the NextCare Mission Statement, Vision, Values and Performance Standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy.

Required
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of experience in charge entry, payment entry, collections, and general accounts receivable management.
Experience with Managed Care contracts, Medicare and Medicaid.
General computer knowledge and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
