Responsibilities

Serve as public health laboratory data and LIMS expert
Serve as a subject matter expert in enterprise laboratory data integration
Simultaneously work on multiple projects with multiple clients to analyze order/result messaging capabilities
Help to identify and implement technical solutions to meet data exchange requirements
Provide technical assistance consulting to clients (PHAs, PHLs, others) to advise on the implementation of messaging solutions
Collaborate with project team members and manage assigned tasks using collaboration tools
Help review laboratory workflows and recommend potential changes for improved processes

Required

Significant experience working with laboratory information (LIMS)
Significant experience with HL7 v2.x (ORM, OML, ORU, LOI, LRI, ADT messages)
Experience with clinical laboratory order and result
Hands-on experience with Rhapsody and/or Mirth integration engine
Experience with system implementation projects within a public health laboratory and/or healthcare organization environment
Experience developing, implementing, testing, and remedying technical solutions for messaging requirements
Experience with Xpath and xquery, javascript and other scripting languages
Experience with data transport protocols such as AWS S3, SFTP, Restful

Preferred

Work with public health LIMS such as StarLIMS, Natus, OpenELIS, LabVantage
Experience gained by working with Federal agencies, public health agencies or laboratories
Work with any public health surveillance systems
Familiarity with JIRA, Smartsheet and/or Confluence
