Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement customized features for the eClinicalWorks Patient Portal to enhance patient engagement.
Optimize user authentication workflows, including custom login flows and improved security protocols.
Enhance appointment scheduling features to streamline patient-provider interactions.
Develop and implement solutions for secure and efficient test results delivery and communication workflows.
Lead the design and architecture of eCW customizations, ensuring scalability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct detailed technical analysis and provide recommendations for system enhancements.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and implement end-to-end solutions.
Design and implement eClinicalWorks FHIR-based integrations to enable seamless data exchange between healthcare systems.
Ensure interoperability between eCW and other Electronic Health Records (EHRs) while adhering to FHIR standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure data consistency, security, and accuracy.
Develop robust test cases and perform unit, integration, and regression testing for all customizations and integrations.
Ensure high-quality deliverables by conducting thorough QA and documenting configurations, workflows, and customizations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical stakeholders, and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment of solutions with organizational goals.
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to internal teams for smooth adoption and implementation of new features.
Stay up-to-date with eClinicalWorks releases, FHIR advancements, and emerging trends in healthcare IT.

Required
10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical architecture, with a focus on healthcare IT solutions.
Proven experience in designing and implementing custom features for the eClinicalWorks (eCW) Patient Portal on both web and mobile platforms.
Expertise in integrating Healow and eCW solutions, particularly enhancing user workflows and patient engagement.
Strong background in FHIR integrations and interoperability across healthcare systems.
Demonstrated experience with secure login flows, advanced appointment scheduling, test result delivery, and communication modules.
Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and regulatory compliance in healthcare applications.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
Experience with eClinicalWorks APIs, FHIR servers, and third-party integrations.
Familiarity with mobile app development frameworks and responsive design practices.
Knowledge of healthcare data security standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
