Responsibilities
Enhancing and extending Platonic’s blockchain platform software (primarily written in Golang), including its consensus engine, transaction execution engine, contract virtual machine, cryptographic abstraction layer, API server, and other backend services.
Working with modern development tools and environments to adopt the latest developments in blockchain technology including cryptographic tools like zero knowledge proofs, fully homomorphic encryption, and quantum resistant cryptography.
Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure operators to identify and fill needs in functionality, serviceability, and observability.
Collaborate with business partners and product owners to prioritize platform improvements while balancing platform maintenance and technical debt.

Required
5+ years of experience developing Golang applications
Experience with modern software development tools and practices including agile software development, git pull request-based workflows, CI/CD, and cloud deployments
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment
Proactive, eager to tackle technical challenges through research and hands-on experimentation
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot and adapt to emerging priorities
Preferred
A strong background in developing distributed systems with byzantine fault tolerant systems preferred
Experience with blockchain smart contract VMs, including EVM and or WASM based solutions is a plus
Experience with other backend languages/tools such as Python, Node.js, and especially Haskell is also a plus
