Responsibilities

Manage all Accounting activities for the US and Canadian entities

Produce financial accounts and implement robust financial controls under both US GAAP and IFRS (Canada)

Ensure appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606 and IFRS 15

Responsibility for tax compliance including sales taxes (Canada and multiple US states)

Oversee billing process working closely with sales teams

Oversight of the day-to-day accounting piece (AP, AR, Payroll)

Work with external auditors to complete year end filings in the US and Canada

Continued improvement of processes and implementation of software

Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning

Provide insightful commentary on consolidated group numbers

Required

Either a qualified CPA (ideally Big 4) or experienced accountant in a SaaS start-up

Experience overseeing multi-entity environments (ideally US and Canada)

Excited to work in a scale-up business

Commercially astute and able to build relationships with senior stakeholders

Preferred

Degree in Accounting or MBA

CPA qualification is preferred

Experience in a rapid growth VC backed Tech start-up or scale-up environment

Technical expertise in US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15)
