Responsibilities
Oversee financial accounting system and related integrations
Lead the monthly close and financial reporting process and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting
Drive technical accounting initiatives such as revenue recognition, post-acquisition adjustments, and purchase price allocations, working closely with external advisors
Coordinate annual audits and tax return completion with Big 4 advisors
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Oversee cash forecasts, including release cash disbursements and determining cash requirements
Oversee purchasing function, including purchase order and expense reporting activities
Collaborate with the FP&A professional to ensure data consistency and integrity between operational accounting and financial forecasting models.
Manage technical and operational tasks related to post-acquisition integration, including the migration of contracts into Sage IntAcct and purchase price allocation
Ensure that acquisition-related adjustments (e.g., goodwill, intangible assets) are reflected in financial statements
Lead efforts to consolidate newly acquired entity financials into existing accounting systems and processes
Maintain compliance with US Sales/Use tax and UK VAT regulations, setting up accurate reporting and remittance processes
Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure alignment with local tax laws, working with the FP&A professional to forecast tax impacts
Collaborate with KPMG to establish and maintain appropriate transfer pricing agreements, followed by establishment and documentation of related accounting and reporting (e.g., intercompany journal entries management fees, royalties)
Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with US Sales/Use tax and UK VAT regulations
Collaborate with KPMG and other advisors to investigate and resolve transfer pricing issues
Set up and maintain standardized journal entries for intercompany transactions, such as management fees and royalties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Partner with FP&A to bridge operational accounting and financial planning, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams
Contribute to cross-departmental discussions, providing input on financial processes, compliance, and systems optimization
Provide accurate and reliable data to FP&A for forecasting and strategic planning.
Serve as the gatekeeper of financial data integrity through well-organized processes and templates.
Provide management and leadership to the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant, creating a culture that is both supportive and results-driven.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior-level role.
Experience in private equity-backed environments is required.
Demonstrated expertise in post-M&A integration activities.
Familiarity with SaaS accounting practices, sales tax regulations, and transfer pricing requirements.
Experience serving as the coordination point with auditor, tax advisor, and other third-party firms.
Experience with cross-border, international accounting, including transfer pricing.
Strong proficiency in US GAAP and familiarity with UK financial regulations.
Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, including data migration and integration processes.
Proficiency in tax compliance and intercompany transaction setup.
Mastery of Microsoft Excel.
Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive and complex situations tactfully.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Adaptable and resourceful, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Comfort with managing senior stakeholders and third-parties.
Preferred
CPA or equivalent designation is highly preferred.
Experience working with Sage IntAcct or similar ERP systems (NetSuite) is a plus.
