Responsibilities

Own and refine the Workday product vision and roadmap in collaboration with HR, IT, Finance, and operations stakeholders.
Serve as the go-to guide on Workday, providing thought leadership on HR systems and ensuring the platform is effectively leveraged to meet organizational needs.
Build positive relationships with HR, IT, Finance, and Operations teams to enable strong cross-functional collaboration.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR technology team, empowering them to innovate, collaborate, and deliver results.
Guide the team and vendor partner(s) in identifying and assessing pain points and developing solutions that help achieve stakeholder objectives.
Partner with Program Management team and Centers of Excellence to align on shared delivery goals for each quarter; maintain a prioritized product backlog and set project execution priorities in partnership with stakeholders based on organizational needs and the roadmap.
Work with team members and stakeholders to understand opportunities for improving processes and vision.
Partner with Program Management team to set and manage stakeholder expectations, conveying the status of the work to stakeholders; communicate when items on the roadmap change or get delivered.
Identify opportunities to develop new or improve existing technology and features, and solicit feedback for upcoming needs.
Convey the established product vision and the 'why' behind the roadmap, prioritization, and approval of work.
Share ongoing value realization with stakeholders and team members.
Lead and contribute to team stand-ups, release planning, roadmap reviews, product demos, and sprint planning as needed.
Partner with Program Management team to review product progress at the end of every sprint and update the roadmap accordingly.

Required

8-10 years of experience Workday or HRIS product owner/management.
5+ years of experience in people and team leadership roles within HR.

Strong technical background with understanding and hands-on experience of HR technology and integrations processes.
Ability to blend technical acumen with business requirements.
Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues; plan, prioritize, and organize effectively.
Direct hands-on experience with managing HRIS teams and product backlogs; coordinating/prioritizing conflicting priorities.
Creates a positive work environment of achievement, collaboration, and innovation for team and cross-functional teams.
Ability to influence others without authority.
Ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into understandable, digestible content for non-technical stakeholders.
Superior problem-solving, data and analytical skills including the ability to define product KPIs and metrics.
Expertise in discovery and mapping exercises to evaluate the best solution to problem definition.
Knowledge of the technical landscape with awareness of emerging innovation.
Comfort in a fast-paced, ever-changing and sometimes ambiguous, work environment.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders and interacting with business and technology partners.
High degree of organization and personal and team accountability.
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs a warrant.
Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
Effectively cope with stressful situations.
Strong mental acuity.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
