Responsibilities
Collaborate with Communications and Creative Services teams to execute and deliver creative design deliverables for both internal and external use.
Assists with the design and maintenance of intranet and external website(s). Executes and maintains the 'creative vision' by determining and implementing the creative design and branding.
Assists with special projects, campaigns and initiatives requiring visual and graphical communication elements.
Creates and effectively arranges graphics, images and other content into a creative, cohesive and visually stimulating end-user experience.
Integrates work of subject matter experts, writers, and other designers to produce a final presentation compatible with corporate standards.
Creates visual mock-ups for presentations.
Assists with testing new web features and applications.
Ensures brand consistency in all designs.
Remain current with design trends, technologies, and web accessibility best practices.
Uses PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to edit presentations, organization charts/process flow charts, and templates as requested.

Required
Strong initiative, attention to detail, excellent oral/written communication, organizational, and time-management skills
High School diploma or G.E.D.
1 – 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of professional experience and certified training in web design and/or graphic design
Experience working with HTML and CSS
Experience with design and web editing programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, and Dreamweaver)
Strong knowledge of design fundamentals (color theory, imagery, typography, and composition)
Experience working with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel
Preferred
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS)
Familiarity with web design techniques (responsive web design, wireframes, and prototyping)
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG)
Experience in design, layout and production of print materials
Knowledge of correctly applying principles of design (emphasis, balance and alignment, contrast, repetition, proportion, movement, and white space)
Portfolio of design projects
Social media and email marketing experience a plus
