Responsibilities

Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Workday capabilities by leveraging deep technical and analytical capabilities, the creativity of a solution architect, and the process orientation of a functional expert and understanding the needs across the Company.
Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and partner with Human Resources, Payroll and other stakeholders to design Workday solutions ensuring all workstreams are cohesive and cross-functional/technical impacts are considered and mitigated.
Represent the voice/view of the business when presenting design changes.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during all phases of the implementation lifecycle and an ongoing basis, ensuring durable solutions and high data quality.
Ensure implemented solutions meets the transactional, reporting, and analytical needs of our businesses.
Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Stay current with Workday releases and updates, evaluating new features and functionality for potential adoption.
Manage the Workday Releases by evaluating the updates and discussing with the business the impacts and where and if the updates our beneficial for our current business.
Creating a multi-year Workday roadmap but focusing on achieving tangible near term results.
Leading education of end users and ensuring change management to ensure end users carryout change.
Manage a team of Workday Administrators by providing coaching and feedback to elevate individual and team performance.
Manage the Workday Administrators’ tasks and projects.
Frame-up what are initially ambiguous business operational opportunities for improvement for appropriate analysis and recommendations based on best practices.
See past today’s methods and problem identification, to future improvements.
Break down business needs into actionable steps towards solutions.
Refine conceptual approaches into concrete specific investments that are specific to the needs of the business.
Work hand-in-hand with business leadership to create a technology vision, for Workday systems.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Work with the Project Management Office and project Owners to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Drive the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Identify if change management process and activities are needed including tools to create a strategy to support adoption of project implementation and changes.
Manage decisions on which project success is dependent.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Oversee, create, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Consult with project sponsors and project Owners in preparing and submitting project charters.
Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and market trends.
Identify new opportunities and assess potential system enhancements or expansions to drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to inform product roadmap decisions.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the Workday team.
Encourage cross-functional collaboration and ensure effective communication among teams to drive product success.
Oversee the entire Workday product lifecycle, from concept ideation and requirements gathering to product development, launch, and ongoing enhancements.
Work closely with the business to translate customer needs and market requirements into actionable product specifications.
Engage with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, partners, and industry influencers, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure strong alignment.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited university/college
Consulting skills, demonstrated by 7+ years’ experience consulting to external and or internal clients
7+ years of proven experience in technology product management roles, preferably in a leadership capacity
Minimum of 7 years of recent enterprise Workday HCM, Finance, Payroll implementation and upgrade experience.
Experience cross-delivering on one or more of the following Workday HCM modules: Core HR, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, as well as Finance, Payroll, Expense, Project and Reporting modules.
Deep knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, customization, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies and tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
Strong people management skills
Deep understanding of product management principles, methodologies, and best practices
Strong business acumen, market awareness, and customer focus
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in system deployment or development
Experience translating end-user stated needs into system-minded scalable solutions
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Experience analyzing the organizational impacts on stakeholders affected by the implementation of new technology, products, processes, or business environments.
Experience developing detailed change strategies and plan of action for addressing the anticipated responses to the change.
Excellent active listening skills
Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Organized with a strong inclination for planning strategy and tactics
