Responsibilities

Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
Inventory currently available reporting dashboards and tools that focus on health equity and/or include data elements related to health equity data initiatives
Create requirements documentation for next-phase development of a key health equity reporting dashboard
Research SNAP and update an informational resource for health plans

Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed.
Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.
Strong analytical skills has experience using data to 'tell a story' through interactive, web-based tools.
Consulting experience can easily frame a problem, approach to understanding key issues and potential solutions, conduct stakeholder interviews, and recommend solutions.
Experience designing and implementing programs addressing health equity and/or drivers of health.
High emotional quotient (EQ) and interpersonal skills.
Organized and detail oriented.
Strong communicator written and verbal, can tailor communication to different audiences (e.g. technical, executive).
