Senior Compensation Analyst Contract Position (Part-Time, ~10 hours/week)

Responsibilities
Partner with startup clients to design and implement scalable compensation structures and job architectures
Create customized salary bands that support high-growth environments and evolving organizational structures
Conduct market pricing analysis focused on startup and tech industry compensation trends
Develop equity compensation recommendations aligned with startup funding stages and market practices
Analyze internal equity and provide recommendations to support rapid hiring while maintaining fairness
Create financial modeling and impact analysis to help startups plan for compensation changes through different growth stages
Guide clients through compensation strategy decisions during key company milestones (funding rounds, expansion, IPO preparation)
Evaluate current compensation practices and provide recommendations for improvement
Design scalable compensation programs that can evolve with company growth

Required
Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office Suite, including:
Complex formula creation and data modeling
Multi-sheet system design with automated updates
Advanced functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, etc.)
Creation of dynamic dashboards and reporting tools
Deep understanding of startup compensation practices and trends
Experience with equity compensation in private companies
Strong knowledge of media and tech industry compensation benchmarking
Ability to analyze and apply market data from multiple survey sources
Experience creating compensation structures that scale
Excellent project management and client communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Economics, or related field
5+ years of compensation analysis experience, with significant exposure to startups/high-growth companies
Experience working in a consulting capacity with multiple clients
Knowledge of startup equity practices and trends
Must sign NDA
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects
Strong consultative approach and client service orientation
Experience explaining complex compensation concepts to various stakeholders
Must carry business liability insurance before hire
Preferred
