Responsibilities

Oversee and own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders

Manage and streamline month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management

Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy

Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements

Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements

Implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the accounting function

Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and respond to auditor inquiries

Support tax compliance and filings as needed

Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning

Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing feedback

Partner with the CFO, HR, and other cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives

Collaborate with external accounting, audit, and tax professionals to ensure compliance, prepare for audits, and address complex accounting and tax matters
