Responsibilities
Empties or fills tank as required or assists in the loading/unloading process.
Counts material or reads gauges, meters, or other measuring systems to record quantities loaded or unloaded.
Drives truck to customer's/clients premises.
Connects hose to tank and/or fixtures and places truck in position at loading docks/areas.
Performs various mechanical maintenance, repair, and fueling/oil duties for assigned vehicles.
Maintains pumps and motors in vehicles and plant.
Assists plant operators in day-to-day operations and maintenance.
Attends daily safety toolbox meetings and is required to do job safety evaluations for each job.
Required to obtain C.E.U.’s acceptable to ADEC toward obtaining various water treatment licenses.
Leads daily safety toolbox meetings and is required to do job safety evaluations for each job.
Notify lead operator if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have a class “A” or “B” CDL as required for the trucks.
Due to tanks being larger than 1,000 gallons, a tank endorsement “N” or “X” is required.
Valid D.O.T physical is required.
Must have two (2) years’ experience which demonstrates successful and safe operation of large commercial vehicles in an arctic work setting.
Must be able to safely operate various hand and power tools.
A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: hair follicle drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test.
Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp.
Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.
Preferred
Water Distribution I and Wastewater Collection I certificates recommended.
