Responsibilities

Lead Introductory Calls: Conduct engaging and informative introductory calls with founders and startup teams to understand their needs and introduce our services.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle, including scheduling calls, gathering prospect information, preparing proposals, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Collaboration with Practitioners: Partner closely with our team of practitioners to scope out client engagements and support them in closing deals.
CRM Maintenance: Keep the CRM system (Hubspot) updated with accurate and timely records of prospects, ensuring a clear view of the sales pipeline at all times.
Event Representation: Represent Graphite at industry events each quarter.
Lead Generation: Although we have a robust inbound marketing engine, you will also be expected to generate new leads through proactive prospecting and outreach (e.g., Slack communities, direct emails).
Support Sales Team: Assist with ad hoc sales tasks and collaborate on marketing initiatives to drive growth.
Help us Grow Graphite: Play a big part in helping us grow our company!

Required

2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in professional services or startups.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, as well as stay on top of deals and consistently follow up.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building relationships and understanding client needs.
Familiarity with CRM systems (we use HubSpot) and sales tools.
An ability and willingness to learn the basics of startup finance, aka enough to be consultative when speaking with interested startups.

Preferred

Passion for startups and an understanding of their unique challenges and opportunities is a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events.
