Responsibilities
You will plan, develop, and carry out the full range of position classification and position management advisory services for assigned organizations.
You will provide authoritative advice and assistance to supervisors and managers to help them achieve the most efficient, effective, and economical usage of human resources in their organizations.
You will conduct audits, determine title, pay plan, series, grade level, FLSA coverage, resolve inaccuracies, and prepare evaluation statements for a wide range of professional, scientific, administrative and highly technical positions.
You will participate in special projects such as self-assessment reviews, review and analysis of draft classification standards, wage studies, and other projects as required.
You will analyze, interpret and apply Position Classification Standards and Guides.
You will prepare documentation for classification appeals and other inquiries.
You will provide written reports and/or briefings outlining findings and recommendations.

Required
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Experience with federal HR classification and position management philosophy, concepts, principles, methods, practices, programs, techniques, laws, and executive orders for a wide range of professional, scientific, administrative and highly technical positions.
Experience planning and coordinating studies to identify short and long-term position classification and position management needs.
Experience analyzing, evaluating and advising management on the impact of proposed reorganizations and implementation of classification standards representing new work.
Experience developing written reports and/or briefings outlining findings and recommendations.
Experience in HR classification philosophy, concepts, principles, methods, practices, programs, techniques, laws, and executive orders.
Experience in position management principles, concepts, practices, and techniques.
Experience in HR processes related to classification and overall HR management processes.
Experience communicating, serving and advising management to promote understanding of classification.
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M. if related.
