Responsibilities

Work through a standard step by step process to validate & audit ESG metrics and correct data to support metrics

Partner with appropriate metric owners to validate data to support each metric

Ask appropriate qualifying questions to discern correct data is applied to each metric

Leverage SQL queries to validate data sources and appropriate formulas are being used from databases, excel, etc.

Validate all dashboards align to the data reported via each metric owner

Provide status to stakeholders on progress against each metric validation

Required

Proven experience as a data auditor or in validating data and metrics

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess large data sets

Proficiency in SQL for auditing purposes (writing queries not required)

Ability to construct and ask appropriate questions during audit sessions

Experienced acting as an auditor to validate data and/or metrics

Experienced analyzing and assessing large data sets

Experience developing and implementing SQL queries

Experience working with Excel, with an ability to develop complex formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.

Ability to construct appropriate question sets when conducting audit/validation sessions

Ask the right questions, to have the right level of assurance of the data

Collaborate with others, any governance exposure would help

Preferred

Experience with ESG or sustainability data is a plus
