Responsibilities
Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed functional specifications for application development teams.
Work closely with application development teams (front-end, back-end, and full-stack developers) to ensure business requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
Create and maintain requirement documentation (user stories, use cases, wireframes, process flows, and functional specifications) to guide development teams.
Define system and application workflows, ensuring they align with business processes and user needs.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure development progress aligns with business needs.
Identify, document, and track business and technical risks and help mitigate them during the project lifecycle.
Validate solutions during testing phases to ensure they meet business requirements and perform according to specifications.
Provide ongoing support to application development teams to clarify requirements and resolve any issues during the development process.
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize backlog items based on business value and impact.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from end-users to ensure the application meets the business needs and delivers a positive user experience.
Work with business stakeholders to define and implement metrics for measuring application performance and success.
Assist in the preparation of training materials and provide guidance to end-users during application rollouts.
Continuously improve processes by identifying opportunities for process optimization and driving innovation in application development practices.

Required
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a strong focus on application development.
Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, writing user stories, and creating detailed functional specifications.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Familiarity with application development frameworks and technologies (e.g., Java, .NET, mobile apps, web applications).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
Experience with process mapping, data flow diagrams, and other business analysis tools.
Proficiency with business analysis tools like Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, or similar platforms.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-deployment support.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred
Experience working with cloud-based applications (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and collaboration tools.
Experience with data analytics or understanding of data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Business Analyst Certification are a plus.
