Responsibilities

Serves as the primary point of contact, ensuring that the customers demand, and supply needs are met.
Works closely with customers to understand their demand patterns and adjust supply plans accordingly.
Develops and maintains a successful co-planning processes for long-range demand planning, being seen as a subject matter expert both internal and externally.
Has an extensive supply chain background to enable the advocation for long-term demand planning and can articulate the end-end Seagate supply chain with external customers to help solve for their consumption needs.
Has a strong understand of product roadmaps and how new product introductions play into demand planning.
Closely Partners with qualification team to best understand and help drive end-of-life product management.
Analyzes customer short-term demand, purchase orders and backlog on a daily/weekly basis. Identifies problem areas and drive appropriate customer engagement and internal functional groups to correct.
Engages with customers to identify opportunities.
Identifies and helps the sales team develop opportunities for short, mid, and long-term successes.
Creates supply plans that meets consensus demand forecasts, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimal stockouts or overstock situations.
Coordinates with production and procurement teams to align demand plans with manufacturing capabilities and supplier lead times.
Synchronize demand and supply plans.
Works closely with customer and internal partners to solve short term and long-term customer specific supply related issue (if applicable)
Partners with Customer Success Organizations to help execute qualification inventory needs.
Monitors inventory levels and implements strategies to improve inventory turnover and reduce excess inventory.
Identifies and resolves discrepancies between actual inventory and system records as needed.
Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, forecast churn, aged inventory and customer service levels measured by customer scorecards and feedback.
Prepares and presents regular reports to senior management on demand and supply performance.
Understands the Gross-Net financial position of the quarterly sales and can articulate financial performance internally.
Closely tracks and monitors product returns including frontward facing forecasts for projected returns.
Contributes to internal reviews connected to demand and sales planning.
Utilizes Seagate tools and processes for customer advocacy. Leverages the existing tools, processes, and resources to assure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Manages and grows relationships with key Cloud Service Provider accounts, ensuring alignment between Seagate's solutions and the customer’s cloud storage needs.
Develops and maintains a professional relationship network within the account to maximize efficiency and effectiveness for Seagate.
Articulates a two-way connection between the customer's core KPIs, business priorities and initiatives, and the plan to support the customer with storage solutions.
Positions Seagate’s Supply Chain strategy and product solutions in such a way that the customer sees that Seagate is critically important to their business.
Provides feedback into other Seagate organizations and coordinates with other customer facing Seagate organizations to improve the customer experience.
Continuously reviews and improves demand and supply planning processes to enhance efficiencies and overall effectiveness.
Implements best practices and leverages technology to automate and streamline planning activities.
Understands CSP infrastructure and works to continue to evolve internal processes to align with changes business dynamics.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Acts as a project manager of the account; pulling together actions, owners, dates to close to keep propelling critical activities and tasks forward.

Required

Extensive experience with demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field
Proficiency in demand forecasting and supply planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in supply chain management

Preferred

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., ASCM – CPIM, ASCM-CSCP)
Experience in Supply Chain, Inside Sales and/or Account Management
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
