Responsibilities

Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a team of clinical data analysts.

Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team.

Oversee the collection, cleaning, and storage of clinical data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.

Develop and implement data management and governance protocols and best practices.

Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Present data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and secure delivery of clinical data.

Monitor data analysis processes and identify areas for improvement.

Stay current with relevant regulations and standards in clinical research and data analysis.

Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Manage multiple clinical data analysis projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation.

Collaborate with program managers to align data analysis efforts with project goals.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in clinical data analysis and healthcare.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in data analysis methodologies.

Required

Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical data analysis or a related role preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience also acceptable.

Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.

Proven track record of strong leadership and team management skills.

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).

Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight).

Strong SQL skills for querying and retrieving data from complex data sources in a structured format.

Proficient in aggregating data, preparing, cleaning data and data mining using SQL and Python.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Effective communication and presentation skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred

Experience with healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology is a plus.

Functional understanding of next-gen sequencing workflows; human genetics knowledge is a plus.
