Tribal Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities
Utilize various payroll systems to obtain necessary payroll reports.
Review payroll reports in order to reconcile payroll information with general ledger.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll and benefit information.
Interact with accounting staff in a professional manner to resolve payroll discrepancies.
Assist clients with payroll processing issues.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Required
Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are a must.
Able to operate standard office equipment such as a copier, fax machine and scanner.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in payroll preparation or bookkeeping.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.
Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday Friday.
Extended hours are required during busy times when payroll reporting deadlines approach.
Out-of-town travel is not normally required for this position.
Preferred
Knowledge of payroll procedures and processes preferred.
