Responsibilities

Defines the technical roadmap and the technologies used to achieve business goals

Owns and watches over the design and architecture of video encoding and packaging solutions

Ensure that the requirements, designs and architecture incorporate resiliency, reliability and observability

Ability to leverage tools, such as lucid charts and others, to visually capture E2E component infrastructure with rich detail

Responsible for creating, documenting and updating diagrams

Review requirements and specifications of new and existing features, translating these into test cases for manual and automated workflows

Drive innovation by researching and implementing new technologies and methodologies

Mentor others on proper trouble shooting methods

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Min 10 years of experience in media engineering, software architecture and design

Deep understanding of media workflows, codecs, DRM, encoding, and packaging including CMAF, HEVC, UHD, HDR, ABR, HLS, Dash, SSAI

Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, GO, Java, JavaScript)

Knowledge of database systems (SQL and noSQL)

An owner, committed to quality in every task, large or small

Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
