Responsibilities

Responsible for oversight of the accounting operations with an understanding of the application of GAAP, review of accounting transactions, account reconciliations, and maintenance of internal controls, and accounting policies

Assist with the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and year-end operations of the accounting and finance organization, including close processes

Manage key components of the monthly and quarterly close processes, including accounts payable, cash, accruals and fixed assets

Create and maintain a master list of monthly journal entries, as well as ensure that all related entries are recorded and have appropriate support

Monitor, collect and analyze data to assess accuracy and integrity as well as ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and established policies and procedures

Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization and documentation of complex financial transactions.

Guide accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

Assist in managing travel & expense reimbursement processes

Assist in the preparation for audit including verification of transactions; ensure adequate documentation and preparation of schedules.

Assist with projects for process, control, and scalability improvements including documentation of the control environment.
