Responsibilities
Assist in the creation, implementation, and management of digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and web platforms.
Write and edit content for a variety of channels including newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and branded emails.
Collaborate with the Senior Director to maintain consistent brand messaging and ensure that all communications align with The Headstrong Project's values and mission.
Support the production and dissemination of marketing materials, including fact sheets, event flyers, and other promotional content.
Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and opportunities for brand growth.
Plan and execute social media strategies that increase engagement and followers across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X).
Monitor social media activity, responding to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner.
Analyze and report on the performance of social media campaigns to recommend improvements.
Create and execute a donor focused communications strategy that includes regular email newsletters showcasing the impact and importance of donor support.
Collaborate with the revenue team to promote donor retention and engagement.
Support fundraising campaigns and events by creating and executing communication timelines and promotional content.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, ideas, and resources to produce compelling stories and marketing campaigns.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications efforts.
Provide administrative support to the marketing and communications team as needed.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, donor relations, or a similar role.
Non-profit experience a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and CRM tools (Salesforce Account Engagement, Mailchimp, or similar).
Basic knowledge of WordPress and design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Ability to analyze marketing data and metrics to inform decision-making.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Collaborative team player with a passion for The Headstrong Project's mission.
Preferred
Experience in donor relations or fundraising campaigns.
Knowledge of the veteran and mental health landscapes.
Storytelling, writing, social media, and video production skills.
