Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring Carrier Access invoices are paid, audited for inconsistencies, and disputed, resolving with intent to ensure direct cost accuracy and savings.
Ensure payments are made in a timely manner avoiding late payment costs
Audit invoice for inconsistencies
Submit billing disputes where inconsistencies lie, resolving to ensure accurate billing, maintaining reasonable, or reducing direct cost expense.
Ensure accurate supplier details are audited periodically and maintained.
Responsible for resolving Carrier Access Billing (CABS) disputes:
Research and compile information needed to resolve customer facility disputes.
Interface with regulatory for Interconnection/MSA/Tariff interpretation and verification.
Administer claims within CABS and the claims management database.
Perform root cause analysis on issues causing disputes and document findings.
Identify and implement improvements in the dispute process.
Understanding the effects of Master Service Agreements and other Contractual obligations on billing to effectively resolve disputes.
Coordinate work efforts with other internal departments.
Transfer knowledge gained through experiences team members and boundary partners.
Partner with Carrier collections team to increase collections once disputes are resolved.
Partner with accounting to ensure all general ledger allocations for invoicing, disputes, and claims are appropriately accounted for.

Required
BA/BS with 4+ years related experience in related field, Candidate can also have a combination of a MS degree and 2+ years, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong focus on customer service.
Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and ability to work under tight deadlines. Experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating one's own work.
Ability to present complex information in a streamlined manner to various business groups.
Preferred
Knowledge of special access services and related billing operations.
Experience with the industry standard Carrier Access Billing System (CABS).
Experience in contract interpretation.
Oracle OBIEE and SQL experience.
