Responsibilities
Administer and maintain financial database to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary updates and patches.
Design and build data warehouses to store historical data.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility within the data warehouse.
Perform server administration tasks related to database operations.
Manage server configurations, updates, and backups to support database functions.
Execute tasks required for Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, following J6 policy.
Prepare and maintain necessary security documentation and address security vulnerabilities.
Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including schemas, processes, and configurations.
Ensure documentation is updated to reflect changes in the database environment.
Analyze database performance and implement optimization techniques to enhance efficiency.
Tune queries, indexes, and database configurations to improve response times.
Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data.
Conduct regular tests to ensure data recovery processes function as intended.
Ensure databases comply with security policies and standards.
Implement access controls and encryption to protect sensitive data.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve system dependencies and performance challenges.
Apply software updates, patches, and upgrades to databases and servers as needed.
Ensure updates do not impact database availability or performance.

Required
Minimum 10 years of experience as Database Administrator (DBA) managing applications that works with databases.
Recent and relevant experience (within the last three years) with Microsoft SQL Server and any of the following Oracle technologies: Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management 11g, Essbase 11g, Oracle Public Sector Planning and Budgeting, Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Data Enterprise Quality, and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g/12c or Oracle Analytics Server (OAS).
Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Technology or related field, such as engineering technologies; or 12+ years database administrator.
