Responsibilities
Set and iterate on our SEO strategy , in alignment with medium-term company objectives (driving qualified, converting traffic, not just clicks).
Will include determining which paths among all considered to invest in or defer at any given moment, in order to optimize progress with constrained time and resources.

Own SEO performance across relevant channels , whatever those may be over time (Google, Pinterest, Reddit, AIO, etc), including:
Keyword / Topic Strategy: Conduct research and analyze opportunities to determine where we should be investing to win.
On-page SEO: Work collaboratively to optimize site and page structures, fix technical issues, ensure performance, improve metadata, and adapt keyword and content strategies in a data-driven manner.
Content Direction: Set the content strategy from an SEO lens. Execute and/or direct the execution of content needed to achieve results. Optimize and evolve content to continue improving results over time.
Off-page SEO: Create and carry out ethical link building / digital PR strategies, working collaboratively across the team where others’ work or relationships can help provide leverage.
Hypothesis-driven Experimentation: Devise and carry out experiments to increase the overall revenue impact from SEO, whether based on best practices or new approaches we can pioneer.
Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on SEO performance. Clarify lessons learned. Bring insights to inform our overall customer acquisition engine.
Serve as a subject matter expert :
Be the internal advocate and first point of contact for SEO related topics acrossthe team.
Inform any internal product efforts geared at helping our customers achieve their own SEO success.
Potentially, educate our customers about SEO if relevant opportunities emerge.
Keep abreast of SEO trends, debates and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Required
Proven experience (3+ years) as an SEO Manager or similar role, with demonstrated strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and best practices.
Expertise in working with SEO related tools and data (i.e. Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc), to the point of being familiar with their relative advantages and shortcomings.
Strong SEO-oriented content creation skills, including appropriate use of AI in the process.
Sufficient Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms (e.g. Webflow, WordPress) to be able to unblock/solve most issues that would arise in technical SEO.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to quickly and accurately interpret data to drive actionable insights.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. You can adjust your message to various internal and external audiences, meeting them where they are in terms of knowledge to help them understand key takeaways.
Preferred
Experience driving success in SEO within one or more early stage SAAS businesses - even better if within MarTech.
Experience in international / multi-lingual SEO.
Experience with PPC campaigns or other digital marketing disciplines.
Significant knowledge of Pinterest as a platform.
Demonstrated expertise in using third party communities such as YouTube, Pinterest and/or Reddit, as drivers of success in organic search.
Experience creating a wide variety of content types, from lead magnets to research, courses, 10x educational resources - and more.
