Responsibilities

Assess the present and future needs of the electrical grid.

Use electrical system models to determine approaches to transition to clean renewable resources.

Coordinate with interconnection customers to help new resources and loads connect to the system.

Validate modeling data and forecast transmission system issues.

Collaborate on solutions to optimize transmission system reliability and efficiency.

Create and maintain dynamic models and associated contingency files.

Manage relevant data for the equipment, devices, and resources being modeled.

Work within the modeling policies and processes of ATC and key modeling stakeholders such as MISO and the MMWG.
