Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end sales process for enterprise-level accounts, including Public School Districts, Charter Management Organizations (CMOs), and State-level education agencies.
Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to win high-value, complex deals.
Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, including superintendents, district leaders, and other decision-makers.
Negotiate multi-year contracts and manage complex procurement processes.
Drive revenue growth by expanding existing enterprise accounts through upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Act as a trusted advisor for key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with the Client Services team to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for enterprise clients.
Identify and pursue opportunities to deepen relationships within existing accounts.
Partner with the CEO and Sales Leadership to refine and execute Avela’s enterprise go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior sales team members as needed.
Represent Avela at industry events and conferences, building the company’s reputation as a leader in education technology.

Required
A minimum of eight (8) years of sales experience, including at least two (4) years focused on enterprise-level accounts in EdTech or related industries.
Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and managing a high-value pipeline.
Expertise in navigating complex sales cycles, including working with multiple stakeholders and managing RFPs and procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers in the public or education sectors.
Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and sales analytics to manage pipelines and forecast accurately.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions for large-scale implementations.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strategic outlook, capable of driving growth in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
US resident, living within 45 minutes of a major metropolitan airport.
Legal ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
Preferred
SAAS Startups - Experience at early stage, high growth enterprise SAAS startups focused on T2D3.
Experience as a K-12 Teacher/Educator or School/District Administrator is preferred. Passion is required.
