Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on issues pertaining to climate liability. More specifically, conduct research and write long-form legal analysis of key legal issues relevant to ongoing litigation, new theories of liability, and other strategies/means of engagement;
Monitor ongoing climate liability litigation and the broader legal landscape;
Assist in the preparation of amicus curiae briefs in climate liability cases;
Assist in the development of programs/events that educate the legal community on the need for climate accountability; and
Provide assistance to the General Counsel on various matters to ensure the organization’s compliance with laws and regulations.

Required
J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
2-5 years as a legal practitioner working on environmental, climate and/or corporate accountability issues
Excellent legal research, writing, and presentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with staff and stakeholders across a decentralized organization
A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel, as needed
Familiarity with impact litigation, issue advocacy, and/or governmental affairs
