Responsibilities
Partners with Director, HR to design and manage associate benefit programs, including group health, retirement plan, voluntary supplemental benefits, and wellness initiatives. Analyzes associate feedback, claims data, and enrollment patterns to identify areas of improvement.
Manages the administration of associate benefits, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient delivery, including helping associates with inquiries and liaising with our Broker and vendors when needed.
Manages leave of absence administration for the organization, including researching applicable laws; coordinates benefits and provides associates with resource materials in support of their leaves. Partners with management for coverage purposes and supports associates in their adherence to JAMS leave of absence policies.
Manages vendor relationships with benefit providers and serves as liaison for associates to state and disability carriers.
Communicates compensation and benefits information with associates and helps develop communication strategies to help associates understand their total rewards package.
Partners with the Director, HR, SVP & CHRO, and JAMS’ compensation consultants to conduct regular salary surveys and market research to ensure competitive and equitable practices. Manages the implementation of JAMS compensation strategies and structures that align with company goals and complies with legal requirements.
Handles the completion of reports pertaining to JAMS benefit vendors, carriers, and headcount updates and partners closely with the Finance team to reconcile billing related to such.
Partners with the Director, HR and SVP & CHRO to provide guidance and support to management and their team members on compensation and benefits-related issues. Assists with day-to-day guidance and support to management and team members on compensation and benefit-related inquiries. Elevates matters to Director, HR and SVP & CHRO as appropriate.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding compensation and benefits, including preparing annual EEOC reports and mandatory surveys.
Partners with the HR Department in new associate orientations to help new hires develop an understanding about their benefits and total compensation.
Supports HR team by maintaining e-personnel files and ensures files fulfill legal compliance.

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
4-6 years of experience as a Human Resources professional.
4-6 years of experience working in Human Resources focused on benefits.
Proficiency in the knowledge of Human Resources management, strategies and most current market methodologies.
Demonstrated acumen in national markets and Human Resources trends and methodologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in all software programs required for the position.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of benefit management, plans, plan documents, programs, and policies and procedures.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations related to employee compensation and benefits.
Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies and operations.
Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both written and verbal, to senior leadership and companywide.
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.
Emotional intelligence and adaptability under pressure.
Preferred
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification or other related professional credentials.
Certification in Compensation and Benefits Plus
4-6 years of experience working in compensation and benefits management.
2-3 years of experience working in legal or client service industry.
