Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring that the escalation of uncoded accounts is in accordance with patient care, regulatory compliance, legal standards, and HIM/Coding department policies and procedures.

You will monitor the work queues for coding completeness.

You will be a liaison between clinical, billing, and coding staff to resolve HIM-related issues.

You will assemble and analyze paper and electronic health records for coding completion.
