Responsibilities

Providing analytical and technical support in the areas of budget, compliance, and operations for the Administration & Budget Unit.
Performing complex technical research and various analytical studies in the areas of budget, compliance, and operations.
Preparing narrative and graphical reports to communicate findings, issues, and recommendations.
Researching and documenting current operating practices and policies, analyzing alternatives for efficacy, and providing recommendations for improvement to the RSD Director or designated supervisor.
Serving as a project lead and coordinating staff efforts in order to complete various projects and reports for RSD’s Administration & Budget Unit.
Performing analytical, consultative, and processing duties related to the Division’s various business services functions including, but not limited to, contract requests, procurement of goods and services, records management, documentation reviews, travel expense reimbursements, information technology, telecommunications, space management, and facilities requests.
Providing training, reporting, and other operational support on the Division’s administrative applications and work processes including, but not limited to, Travel and Training Authorizations (TTA), Equipment Supplies and Services Requests (ESSR), Contract Request Forms (CRF), and California Automated Travel Expense Reimbursement System (CalATERS).
Attending Commission-wide meetings and conferences as needed.
Performing other related duties as required.

Required

Eligibility for this classification.
Performing complex technical research and various analytical studies in the areas of budget, compliance, and operations.
Program budget management.
Internal control audits.
Workflow mapping.
Preparing narrative and graphical reports to communicate findings, issues, and recommendations.
Researching and documenting current operating practices and policies.
Analyzing alternatives for efficacy.
Providing recommendations for improvement to the RSD Director or designated supervisor.
Serving as a project lead and coordinating staff efforts to complete various projects and reports.
Performing analytical, consultative, and processing duties related to the Division’s various business services functions.
Providing training, reporting, and other operational support on the Division’s administrative applications and work processes.
May be delegated as proxy for the RSD Director or RSD designated supervisor when unavailable.
Attending Commission-wide meetings and conferences as needed.
Occasional same day travel may be required for meetings at other office locations.
Submitting a copy of your transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
Obtaining and submitting verification of United States course/degree equivalency if education was completed outside the United States.
Completing the STD 678 State Application with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors.
Submitting a completed STD 678 to be considered.
