Materials Management Engineer

Responsibilities
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to track ongoing material issues, manage purchase orders, and implement long-term solutions
Serve as a liaison among multiple groups, including Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Digital teams, to address material and service requisitions, resolve invoice issues, and ensure accurate payment for purchase orders
Utilize reporting tools and applications to establish and maintain reports, dashboards, and material tracking databases
Act as a subject matter expert on procurement and project management software, providing documentation, communication, and troubleshooting support
Represent the organization during software transitions by staying informed of updates, documenting changes, and ensuring seamless adoption within the department
Collaborate with vendors to manage delivery updates, monitor chronic material issues, and forecast material production
Train and oversee consultants while documenting policies and practices, maintaining reference manuals, and creating quick-reference guides
Develop and maintain material forecasts, manage delays, and mitigate risks by identifying best practices for requisition and procurement management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback to internal teams and implementing innovative solutions for long-term material tracking challenges

Required
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
3+ years of experience in project controls, project management methodologies and material purchasing
Proven experience in material management, procurement, or project controls, preferably in engineering or construction industries
Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, accounts payable, and requisition management
Proficiency in utilizing reporting tools, dashboards, and procurement software
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
