Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our presence in the military and defense market.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including contracts, partnerships, and joint ventures, with military and defense agencies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within military organizations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet the unique requirements of military customers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities for the business.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our products/services and network with potential clients.
Prepare and deliver presentations, pitches, and product demonstrations to military customers and prospects.
Negotiate contract terms and agreements with military agencies, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities, progress, and achievements to senior management.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in military procurement processes to maintain a competitive edge.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
5+ years of consultative sales experience is a plus
Must have high energy with experience in crafting and closing deals with the military or defense industry.
Strong understanding of military procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with military customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Proven skills in strategic and consultative selling.
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Advanced presentation skills, including comfort in presenting to corporate leadership.
Ability to utilize virtual selling techniques to qualify, convert, and close new business opportunities.
Instincts for qualifying prospects to solve customer business problems with technology-based solutions.
Self-motivated and high sense of urgency regarding achieving goals, demonstrating the ability to take initiative.
Excellent influencing, critical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Keen customer service orientation.
Ability to read and understand contracts and service agreements.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain security clearance may be required.
Capture Management: 5 years (Required)
Location: Huntsville, AL (Required)
Preferred
Software consulting sales, electronic product, and technology solution sales a plus, but not required.
Transportation background also a plus.
Experience in business development: 5 years (Preferred)
Experience in sales: 5 years (Preferred)
Willingness to travel: 75% (Preferred)
