Responsibilities

Lead the development and deployment of ADL Education’s pedagogical frameworks in programs, products and advocacy.
Design and develop educational content, lessons, and curriculum on antisemitism, Jewish culture, identity and experience on par with current trends in pedagogy and instruction for grades K-12 and stakeholder groups supporting K-12 students and educators.
Produce internal and external materials to communicate pedagogical frameworks, articulate theories of learning for antisemitism and share research to support EDU programs and products; ensure pedagogical alignment across new and existing programs and products.
Lead the strategic development of new topical and relevant agendas to support Antisemitism and Jewish identity education.
Collaborate with internal partners on a wide range of educational programs and initiatives, ensuring adaption and modification of content initiatives is pedagogically aligned and support the development of new content.
Represent ADL Education in public forums especially as it relates to the field of antisemitism, Jewish identity/culture and school improvement initiatives.
Collaborate in cross-departmental efforts to produce and deliver internal professional development on antisemitism, extremism, incident response, online hate and harassment and anti-bias education content.
Provide thought-leadership to the EDU team and the general public on best practices for antisemitism and Jewish culture and identity pedagogy and content knowledge.
Consult with the Center on Antisemitism Research to develop evaluation frameworks for educational products.
Manage the monitoring and evaluation of EDU’s programs and products and distribution and interpretation of data, including managing project teams.
Increase the content development capacity of the EDU team by managing contracted and freelance writers, project management, and select EDU staff.
In collaboration with Program Directors, develop and execute roll out plans to introduce new and developing programs and products to Regional EDU Staff and ADL Staff at large, and to scale programmatic reach.
Support the ongoing implementation of the EDU Facilitator Fundamentals and Practice and Cross-Training models.
Cultivate and leverage existing partnerships with outside organizations and develop opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
Participate in regular updates to educational content including editing, revising, archiving and discontinuing content as well as participating in review processes including Clearance and review processes to ensure alignment.
As needed, support the development of additional lessons and activities to support No Place for Hate® partners.

Required

Must possess knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing landscape of education, pedagogy, and professional learning.
Prior curriculum development experience in secondary education, antisemitism education and/or anti-bias education required.
Must be a superb communicator with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Broad-based experience in education, curriculum development, and facilitation of programs with significant years’ experience and a demonstrable increase in skills and responsibility working with educational institutions and/or community groups.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in education, Holocaust studies, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
