Responsibilities
Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data management across the organization.
Work with data stewards and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business units to ensure adherence to data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Support data classification and tagging initiatives, ensuring appropriate access controls and security measures are in place.
Conduct data audits and assessments to identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement.
Provide guidance on data-related issues, including data ownership, access, and stewardship.
Assist with data governance reporting and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
Participate in data governance training and awareness programs across the organization.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
Experience in data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and data security principles.
Experience with data management tools, data cataloging, and metadata management (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
Knowledge of data quality management practices and tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Security clearance.
Preferred
Federal Experience is a plus.
