Responsibilities

Outside sales responsibilities with new and existing clients effectively selling organically and generating new sales
Effectively achieve monthly and annual sales quota as set out by the business
Utilization of Hub Spot Rev Ops and CRM tools
Effectively execute sales through North Star Systems go to market strategies
Responsible for the development and implementation of client-based projects utilizing NSS solutions
Focus on fostering and developing client facing relationships related to North Star Systems’ business
Understand areas of concern as raised by clients and engage them with North Star Systems Client Support team
Gain an in depth understanding of North Star Systems’ internal processes and procedures
Work closely with all North Star Systems team members meeting the day-to-day needs of the business
Prospect use cases, applications and generate new product development ideas for the business
Provide market intelligence and feedback regarding competitive offerings to North Star Systems Product Managers
Form strategic partnerships with other companies and leverage their existing networks
Connect and convey business cases with technical requirements. Link business applications with IoT technical solutions and communicate that effectively within the organization
Effectively communicate internally with NSS Leadership, Product, Client Services and Finance and Administration teams
Work closely with all North Star Systems team members meeting the day-to-day needs of the business
Travel required throughout USA, must be able to travel to Canada

Required

Post secondary qualification in agriculture, engineering, commerce or another relevant accreditation
5-years experience in sales, marketing, and contract negotiation, a combination of experience and qualifications will be considered
Effective interpersonal communication skills – verbal and written
Strong problem-solving skills required
Ability to work with a diverse team of people
Strong attention to detail and accuracy required
Effective computer skills
Valid drivers license
Travel required throughout USA, must be able to travel to Canada

Preferred

Experience in the following areas will be extremely helpful, but not required: Agricultural technology, IoT/m2m technologies, Wireless applications
Agriculture, Energy (Oil & Gas), Water and waste industry experience is an asset
