Responsibilities

Oversees the Agency's data management and strategy, focusing on specific operational aspects and data initiatives.

Serves as an authoritative representative of HHS within and outside the Federal Government by providing management with expert technical guidance and recommendations for achieving the Department's Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) objectives.

Evaluates and implements new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities and addresses evolving needs.

Leads the ASPR Data Program alongside the Chief Data Officer.

A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position

or B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience

Have one (1) year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service which includes the following: Establishing and enforcing data governance policies, including data quality standards, security protocols, and compliance measures; Managing daily operations of data management systems, including data integration, storage, and maintenance; and Overseeing data analysis and reporting functions, including the creation of dashboards and reports
