Responsibilities
Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects, including CERCLA and RCRA corrective actions, hazardous waste treatment closures, and reporting to regulatory agencies.
Design and implement remediation solutions that minimize compliance risks and regulatory impacts related to real property development.
Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate legacy sites at various stages of remediation, including multi-party sites with cost-sharing responsibilities and agreements like replacement water supply negotiations.
Negotiate with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with directives, permits, and applicable orders.
Oversee financial assurance obligations and maintain accurate financial records, including budget projections, liability reserves, and cost/benefit analyses aligned with accounting standards like Sarbanes-Oxley.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders (finance, legal, operations, and risk management) to meet cost and schedule commitments.
Integrate internal and external safety, health, and environmental programs into remediation efforts, including job hazard assessments.
Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations to regulatory agencies and public forums.
Travel up to 10% to manage environmental projects across multiple locations.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 10 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 16 years of prior related experience is required.
Strong expertise in managing environmental remediation projects and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex financial documentation.
Experience in presenting technical information to public and regulatory agencies.
Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental program integration into remediation projects.
Willingness to travel and manage projects across multiple locations.
