Responsibilities
Maintain and improve Valiant’s quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2022, and ISO 20000-1:2018 standards, as well as CMMI-DEV/SVC models.
Assist in developing work procedures, standards, and preventive measures to enhance process efficiency.
Draft, write, edit, and evaluate corporate and program documents and presentations.
Support internal audits and monitor corrective action plans (CAPs) to ensure timely resolution of non-conformities.
Help prepare quality and audit reports and materials for Corporate and Program Management Review meetings.
Train personnel on Valiant’s Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS).
Provide planning and logistics support for external audits and ISO/CMMI registrar engagements.
Work with the Senior Manager, PQM, in maintaining configuration and access control of documents, deliverables, and content repositories
Ensure all forms, templates, policies, and procedures are compliant with Valiant standards
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining IQMS materials and documentation
Ensure the promotion and awareness of corporate and client requirements throughout the organization
Collaborate closely with the PQC to manage proposal planning, logistics, and document production.
Assist with preparing, writing, and producing of RFI and RFP responses.
Develop and manage proposal support materials, including compliance matrices, annotated outlines, data calls, kickoff slides, and proposal schedules.
Edit and proofread proposals and technical documents for grammar, clarity, and compliance.
Provide QA reviews and visual inspections of proposal documents to ensure quality and consistency.
Interview technical staff to write and update project descriptions, resumes, past performance documents, etc.
Write non-technical proposal material, such as executive summaries, resumes, etc.
Work with Proposal Manager(s) in maintaining configuration and access control of documents, deliverables, and content repositories
Provide logistics and meeting support to the proposal team
Assist Proposal Manager(s) in providing day-to-day supervision of the proposal process as they plan and build high-quality, winning responses to RFPs
Analyze potential and existing content to ensure it contains appropriate and applicable information, and is appropriate for the intended audience and requirements
Generate, update and manage reusable proposal materials and templates.
Coordinate graphics, desktop publishing, proofreading, and production support for all assigned proposals
Support proposal training activities as needed
Research federal opportunities and monitor procurement forecasts
Collaborate with the BD team to create tailored capability statements and support capture strategies
Compile agency background information, competitor analysis, and pricing trends to support capture efforts
Assist with planning and logistics for client meetings, industry days, and trade events.
Maintain the Valiant repository of relevant past performance data, corporate capabilities and reference material to support proposal submissions.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (or two additional years of professional experience)
1-2 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, proposals, or business development
Strong writing and organizational skills
Energetic and forward-thinking team player with high ethical standards
Highly proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Meet), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Teams
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work remotely with discipline and manage competing priorities effectively.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, Journalism or related field
Knowledge of federal government contracting and the CMMI-DEV/SVC models.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
Familiarity with ISO and quality improvement processes.
Knowledge of or experience with the federal government contracting industry
Knowledge of CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC models
Lead Auditor (ISO 19011), Six Sigma, or Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) certification
