Responsibilities
Create visibility of operations and product performance: Measuring performance against assumptions is how learning and improvement occur. As Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing teams with the data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of their processes and products.
Drive improvement in business: You will analyze data to identify ways to enhance business performance. Proactively identifying opportunities and prioritizing tasks will help achieve business objectives. Working directly with teammates across the organization, you will educate them on insights and drive strategic changes.
Be a trusted strategic partner: The Data Science & Analytics team supports all departments, making it crucial to establish and maintain communication with teams driving key metrics. Building trust, understanding their processes, and applying analytical skills will enable you to assist in their improvements.
Data Engineering: Being part of a newer team in a growing organization, you will be responsible for data engineering tasks. This includes gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy and consistency. Collaboration with Analytics Engineering will ensure data workflows produce clean, optimized data models.
Evaluate & Produce Quality: Ensuring code is thoroughly reviewed is vital. You will be involved in confirming that your and your teammates' code is error-free, unbiased, and easily understandable.

Required
6+ years of experience in a business intelligence, analytics, or decision science role, with at least 3 years working directly with consumer data related to marketing, sales, service delivery, and retention issues
Familiarity with BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar data warehouse solutions
Proficiency in SQL
Proficiency in dbt
Proficiency in Google Sheets
Proficiency in version control
Proven ability to work independently and within a team
Experience collaborating with Analytics Engineers to develop modular, highly optimized data models
Experience working with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers on complex predictive problems
Exceptional at building rapport and trust with business leaders and cross-functional peers
Proficient in investigating and documenting business processes and user flows
Strong understanding of core consumer tech metrics, including: LTV, retention, CAC, RAC, ARR, ARPC, margin, NPS, CSAT, and behavioral metrics
Experience utilizing data from Salesforce CRM
Familiarity with behavioral data from website and email tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Segment, and Iterable
Knowledge of best practices in secure data handling and customer data privacy
Preferred
Previous experience in the financial planning industry
Previous experience in the consumer technology industry
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in Airflow
Experience creating reports in scriptable BI tools like Streamlit or Dash
