Responsibilities
Assists in the development of program plans, policy, and guidance and assures distribution to appropriate audiences within ORO and other offices.
As a member of ORO's Immediate team, tracks and analyzes management information on regional and program performance. This includes but is not limited to: project development and implementation; technical assistance; and monitoring and assessment of project performance.
Acts as a communications hub between AmeriCorps HQ and the Regional Offices. Routes inbound and outbound program related communications to appropriate recipients and responds when appropriate.
Represents ORO on special task forces and work groups, including but not limited to: participation in infrastructure systems development, testing and training, participation in project application review panels, National Days of Service planning, cross-program monitoring process and policy development, intergovernmental outreach and external outreach/social media.
Contributes to, or leads, the development and implementation of agency-wide, as well as program-level, initiatives in which ORO is a key stakeholder or the implementing office.
Supports new initiatives that reflect the goals of the Corporation and discusses plans and implementation for new initiatives with ORO Immediate Leadership.
Performs liaison role with AmeriCorps programs, including the Offices of AmeriCorps Seniors, AmeriCorps VISTA and AmeriCorps State and National, attending meetings as appropriate and consulting on initiatives and activities specifically related to these programs. Conducts regular and periodic analysis of program performance with the intent of providing relevant business information to the ORO management team.
Works with various AmeriCorps program and support offices, as a regular liaison and on an ad hoc basis, to accomplish cross-cutting initiatives and coordinate resource allocation.
Analyzes current business processes and systems and suggests improvements and efficiencies.
Supports the organization's objectives through the design and delivery of training, meetings and conferences to support program implementation as needed. This may include organizing and delivering web-based and other remote training for regional Offices on topics related to new and ongoing work and initiatives.
Works with a wide variety of offices to develop, implement and evaluate ORO's knowledge management strategy and products to ensure that the information needs of ORO are met in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
Contributes to the ongoing work of risk management, internal controls and audit response and resolution in business areas pertinent to ORO.
Represents ORO by participating in and/or leads working groups as assigned.

Required
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to at least the mid-range of the NY-02 pay band, which would be at or equivalent to, the GS-09 level in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience includes: Development of program plans and policies, Providing technical assistance, Monitoring processes and assessments, Implementing agency wide programs, Conducting periodic analysis on program performances, Analyzing business processes and internal controls, Risk management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
